ABOUT CVU BASEBALL

HOME OF THE REDHAWKS

The Champlain Valley Redhawks Baseball program, recently named Vermont’s top high school team, has been a powerhouse since 1964, when CVU—then the state’s largest high school—opened its doors. Representing Charlotte, Hinesburg, Shelburne, St. George, and Williston, the Redhawks found their stride in 1970 and have been competing at Vermont’s highest level ever since. Tradition, talent, and community pride—Redhawks baseball is more than a game; it’s a legacy.

SUPERIOR REPUTATION

Since 1970, the CVU Baseball Program has earned 39 Division I State Tournament bids, 15 Final Four appearances, and 6 Vermont State Championships (2003, 2012, 2013, 2019, 2021, 2023). A member of the Vermont Metro Baseball League, CVU has won 8 league titles and produced 90+ All-Metro honorees. Numerous players have competed in college baseball, been drafted by MLB teams, and represented CVU in the Twin State Senior All-Star Classic.

The CVU Baseball Coaching Staff is the heartbeat of our program. Each coach brings a wealth of experience, local knowledge, and a deep passion for the game, guided by the seven core principles that define CVU Baseball. Having played, worked, and lived in the community, our staff is dedicated to passing on their skills and wisdom, shaping players who thrive both on the field and in life.

PREMIER BASEBALL FIELD

Thanks to community support and the CVU custodial staff, our baseball field is meticulously maintained and features bleachers, a scoreboard, an on-field sound system, oversized dugouts, and premium playing conditions—making it one of the best in the state.

PLAYER DRIVEN PROGRAM

The CVU Baseball Program has a strong tradition of putting players first, following a student-first approach that emphasizes the ultimate goal: helping our players graduate from high school. Over 95% of our players continue their education by attending college. We strive to ensure that every player leaves CVU with a strong spirit, a solid skill set, and a positive attitude that they will carry with them throughout their lives.
