Coach Albertson has released the baseball tryout schedule for the 2019 season. All of those planning to tryout are required to attend an mandatory meeting on Wednesday, March 6 from 3:30pm-4:30pm in Room 140-142. Pitchers and catchers week starts after school on Monday, March 11 in the CVU Gymnasium, any players, regardless of class must attend. The baseball tryouts will be separated by class, with Juniors/Seniors together in the morning (and afternoon on Tuesday), and Sophomores/Freshman in the afternoon. Teams will be made after tryouts on Thursday, March 21. Practices begin Friday, March 22, and an mandatory fundraising meeting will take place from 3:30pm-4:30pm in the CVU cafeteria.
Please note that this year, the CVU Baseball Program will only have a Varsity team and one Junior Varsity team.

On Wednesday March 13, 2019, Coach Albertson and the CVU Athletics Department made the 2019 varsity and junior varsity public, highlighting the upcoming start to the spring high school sports season.
The varsity baseball squad will play another top-tier schedule this year, as they play thirteen league games starting on Thursday, April 18th when they host the Seahorses of Burlington High School in their home opener. The Redhawks travel to Colchester, St. Albans, Mt. Mansfield, Rice Memorial, North Country, Essex and South Burlington. They will then host Burlington, St. Johnsbury, South Burlington, Essex, North Country and Mt. Mansfield on senior day!
Of the sixteen games, three are non-league games which will consist a rematch of last year's quarterfinals in Hinesburg vs St. Johnsbury, a matchup with the Bulldogs of Burr & Burton, and an away game against cross-town rival, Rice Memorial. In preparations for their upcoming season, the Redhawks will have five scrimmages, three home scrimmages against the Enosburg Hornets, the University of Vermont Club Baseball Team and the Montreal Titans, while traveling to Deerfield, Massachusetts to play Frontier Regional and Burr & Burton Academy (VT).
The JV schedule consists of sixteen games as well, just at the opposite site of where the Varsity squad is playing. At the end of he year, there will be a JV Jamboree, which will be announced at an later date.
